We have a very small breeding program. All of our babies live in our house not outside in a kennel. These little dogs are very special little creatures. We looked very long and hard before we purchased our adults. We wanted not only beautiful yorkies, but also well behaved and loving ones as well. We found the ones we wanted and drove for hours to pick them up and meet the people who were selling them. All of our yorkies are AKC registered and most have champions in their People who say all little dogs are so hyper and noisy have not met our yorkies. Ours are loving, quiet, and calm. I searched for a year and a half before I felt comfortable with a breeder, and found the perfect look and temperament that I had been looking for.
I keep all of my yorkies in full coat. That requires quite a bit of time and effort.They love being groomed and pampered! Since they live in our home, bathtime is very routine. They even behave through all of that! I'm telling you. . . they are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of our yorkies are very well socialized. I am a self-employed barber, so they get to take turns going to work with me. Our customers are so disappointed if I skip a day of taking one to work with me. Some of our people even bring their own dogs into our shop to visit! Dalton, a Bichon, is visibly upset when his owner brings him in and one of the yorkies is not there! IT'S HILARIOUS!!!!!
My husband lost his job last February, so right now he is a stay-at-home daddy for the pups! The worst part of that is. . . he LOVES it! It works out well, but irritates me when the dogs go to him before they come to me. . .how rude!
We are parents of adult children. . . .so our yorkies are our babies. They have all of the attention and love they can stand!!!!
